Since the horrific attack in Israel on October 7 and the weeks of bombardment in Gaza that followed, members of PDA-CNM have joined with Jewish Voice for Peace and others to urge our members of Congress to call for an immediate ceasefire. Thanks to Melinda Smith’s organizing, we’ve had a number of productive meetings with Rep. Stansbury and Senator Heinrich and their staff.  As of November 28, at least 49 members of Congress have called for a ceasefire or cessation of hostilities in Israel and occupied Palestine, including Rep.
